On March 3, 2006, the Blue Valley School District distributed their legislative update which included the progress I have been making making our "at-risk" weighting in the school finance formula more accountable.

"In fact, Rep. Ray Merrick (the only Johnson County representative on the committee) was vocal both Wednesday and Thursday in criticizing both the plan and proponents who came before the committee for the plan not having at risk definitions that square with student populations actually served."
