Merrick's "hunters for hunger" successful
Soon after Rep. Merrick was elected to the House, he successfully passed legislation for a Hunters for Hunger program which just reported a banner year in 2005.

passed legislation for a Hunters for Hunger program which just reported
a banner year in 2005. Last year the program provided over 110,000
meals for the hungry in Kansas.
