On Wednesday, March 22, the Appropriations Committee will hear
testimony on HB 2945, introduced by Rep. Ray Merrick. This bill is
written as a tool to enforce existing federal immigration law. It
requires Kansas government agencies to verify legal immigration status
of anyone requesting non-emergency services.
